AFSUSA has a number of scholarship programs available to students in addition to other study abroad programs. 

    • Youth Exchange and Study (YES) – December 1 Deadline
      • Year-long programs in countries with significant Muslim populations.
    • Congress Bundestag – January 7 Deadline
      • Full scholarships for a year-long exchange to Germany. 
    • AFS Project Change – January 17 Deadline
      • Students share their idea for a volunteer project that could have a meaningful impact abroad to address a major global issue. If their idea is chosen, they will receive a full scholarship to spend two weeks abroad with AFS making their vision come to life. All U.S. 8th to 12th grade students are eligible to enter via essay or video.  Nine additional winners will join the winning program.

Responsibilities: Talking to customers either face to face or over the phone to explain products, answer their questions & help them place orders. Very low-key approach with customers. (no high pressure sales AT ALL) Looking for students who want to get a great experience and earn some extra cash. You can start part-time NOW and continue full time throughout the summer. We award various scholarships to students based on performance.

Wage: $18 base pay (not based on sales, guaranteed rate)

Schedule/Hours: Vary flexible, anywhere from 5-15 hours/week (Discuss more with the manager during an interview)

Position: Recruiting Assistant/Receptionist

Location: Waltham, Ma (Totten Pond Rd.)

Responsibilities: Answering phones, making outgoing calls to referrals, talking to applicants on the phone, explaining company information and scheduling appointments for the managers.

Wage: $10.50 to start (raises based on performance)

Schedule/Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 2:30/3- 7:30, Saturday 12-4:30 (looking for 3 people to do 3 shifts/week) 10-20 hours/week available
