Youth in Philanthropy
Priority deadline to apply is November 15; rolling admissions follow.

The Foundation for MetroWest’s Youth in Philanthropy (YIP) program is an experiential leadership development program designed to empower and educate local youth to become our community’s next generation of philanthropists – those who give their time, talent, and treasure for the common good. As participants of YIP, students learn about needs in our community, visit local nonprofits, and grant up to $10,000 to nonprofits benefiting youth.

This free, 17-week program is for high school students who live or learn in MetroWest. YIP spring programs begin in January and run through May 26. For more information about YIP and to apply, visit yipmetrowest.org.

SENIORS!

Reminder to all Seniors:
Please remember that you must request your transcripts and letters of recommendation in Naviance at least one month in advance of your deadlines.

Also, for January 1 deadlines, you must request records by the end of the day on Tuesday, Nov. 26.  Because the Guidance Office is closed over the Thanksgiving and the December holidays, we need time to process the many requests we receive.  Please see your counselor with questions.

Data backup is the responsibility of ALL students.

It is very important that everyone backup ALL important data from your MacBook Air over the weekend to Google Drive, Dropbox or with Time Machine.

Here is a link to info regarding your built in backup utility: Time Machine
Time Machine is the built-in backup that works with your Mac and an external drive or Time Capsule (purchased separately). Connect the drive, tell Time Machine to use it. Time Machine automatically backs up your entire Mac, including system files, applications, accounts, preferences, email messages, music, photos, movies, and documents. Time Machine keeps hourly backups for the past 24 hours, daily backups for the past month, and weekly backups until your backup drive is full.
